To create a compelling visual and oral argument for a solution to a problem related to your
discipline.
Instructions:
Create a presentation to go along with the Final Capstone Essay.
To help prepare for the presentation assignment, ensure you have a computer/laptop with a
microphone and are familiar with how to record audio narration into your PowerPoint
presentation.
You will provide audio narration for the presentation as if you were presenting it to a live
audience. The slides can have illustrations, graphics, and a few keywords/phrases. Do not read
the slides. Instead provide a natural narration, as if you were presenting the PPT to a roomful of
peers.
Your narrated presentation should be 10 -15 minutes with at least 10-slides, excluding in-text
citations and a reference list.
The presentation should:
● Be at least 10 slides (this does not include title page, graphs/charts and reference page)
● Give a brief description of the problem and why it is important to solve it.
● Describe why it is a problem that affects various audiences
● Describe the methods you used to find a potential solution
● Describe why the solution is a strong one and who it benefits
● Describe any costs and timeline
● Show visuals in a compelling and engaging way. The visuals should be elaborated upon
by the speaker, so class can understand exactly what was discovered.
